Getting the Right Graphics Card for 3D Ray Tracing in After Effects

After Effects supports a huge number of Nvidia and AMD cards. The more powerful ones give a huge boost to performance.

But when it comes to Ray Tracing in After Effects CS6, something odd. Decent cards seem to either perform very well, or not at all.

The reality is that there are just a few Nvidia cards that provide real performance in After Effects CS6 ray tracing and this video looks at the reasons for this.
